About the Opportunity
Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing technology company building sophisticated software systems and infrastructure at scale.
We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and operate reliable services that support critical product workflows.
What You'll Do
Build production backend services using TypeScript, Python, and Go.
Design and implement scalable APIs and distributed services.
Develop data processing and asynchronous workflows.
Design robust service architectures and integrations.
Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability.
Write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code.
Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
Work closely with Product and other engineering teams.
What We're Looking For
4+ years of backend software engineering experience.
Strong experience with TypeScript, Python, or Go.
Experience building production APIs and backend services.
Strong understanding of databases and data modeling.
Familiarity with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
Strong testing and software engineering practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco.
Nice to Have
Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
Event-driven architecture.
Microservices.
High-volume transactional systems.
AI/ML infrastructure.
Startup or scale-up experience.
