Bankruptcy Paralegal- HoustonA national based law firm located in Houston is seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal to join their team. Candidates must have 5+ years of bankruptcy experience within a law firm as well as a Paralegal Certificate or a degree in Paralegal Studies. Candidates will be working on a docket consisting of bankruptcy, loan workouts, commercial litigation, and real estate and transactional/closing matters. This position offers a hybrid schedule and full benefits. Duties include:
- Draft, issue and manage discovery, including organizing, bates stamping and maintaining voluminous document productions.
- Assist attorneys with motions, hearings and depositions.
- Cite-check, blue book and Sherardize briefs and legal memoranda.
- Draft routine court filings with minimal attorney supervision, including motions for relief, bankruptcy proofs of claim, subpoenas, summonses, writs of garnishment, notices of appearance, and pro hac vice admissions.
