Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of banquet-style dishes according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist with menu planning for large events, collaborating with the culinary team to develop appealing and innovative options.
Maintain proper food handling procedures, adhering strictly to food safety standards and sanitation guidelines.
Set up kitchen stations efficiently, organize ingredients, and manage cooking timelines to ensure timely service during events.
Support catering operations by preparing meals for large groups, ensuring portion control and presentation standards are met.
Collaborate with servers and event staff to coordinate meal service, ensuring smooth operation during busy periods.
Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including proper storage of ingredients and disposal of waste in accordance with health regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
Efficient in preparing large, various quantities
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or catering environment.
Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and fine dining standards.
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques essential for banquet service.
Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen settings demonstrating culinary expertise.
