POSITION PROFILE
The Barista is a dual-craft role designed for someone who loves both precision and personality. This position bridges the rhythm of daytime coffee service with the energy of evening cocktails, helping transform the lobby into an all-day gathering place. You are equal parts maker and host; delivering quality beverages while creating moments of connection that keep guests lingering just a little longer.
This role is ideal for someone who sees beverage service as an experience, not a transaction.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES
- Craft high-quality espresso and coffee beverages with consistency and care
- Educate guests on coffee offerings, seasonal features, and flavor profiles
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually inviting coffee station
- Create a warm, conversational guest experience that encourages return visits
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, and curated cocktails with confidence and flair
- Act as a host for the lobby in the afternoon and evening — engaging guests, sparking conversation, and building community
- Guide guests through beverage selections and pairings in a relaxed, elevated way
- Support evening activations, music, or special lobby moments as needed
- Deliver intuitive, gracious service that feels natural — never scripted
- Maintain beverage quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate closely with hotel and food & beverage teams to ensure seamless guest flow
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- High school education or equivalent education/experience.
- Three to Six months in a food and beverage services environment or establishment. Hotel experience preferred.
- Able to mix drinks correctly. Provide exceptional service to all guests.
- Able to multitask and handle all the equipment especially in a bar that uses modern technology. Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverage.
- Able to read, speak, and understand English. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff, and guests.

- Continuous Standing as needed
- Lift, pull, push, bend, and move items to support the hotel and outlets
