The Westerner Dance Hall Bar and Grill is looking for bartenders and barbacks like you!Whether you are new to the world of hospitality, have been loving it for a long time, or are somewhere in the middle we want you to apply. Most tipped employees make Utah minimum wage, where The Westerner pays $2.50 an hour plus tips! Located in West Valley City and opened in 1962 and still going strong, the Westerner has LIVE MUSIC every weekend, local bands playing your favorite country tunes, along with a DJ for after midnight and in-between sets. Along with the music The Westerner offers, mechanical bull rides, karaoke room, poker nights, paint nights, full bar and full grill menu, giant patio, free pool tables, dance lessons and a good time!We value and respect our employees, listen to their ideas, and encourage them to get involved with helping in every way. Our team works hard together which makes each night FLY by with a fun, collaborative, and supported environment.Preparing drinks and supporting bartenders (for barbacks) is only part of the job, we encourage customer interaction to support our guests to help them have the best experience possible. We provide all the recipes and beverages anyone could ask for!Qualifications for Bartender and Barback:At least 21 years of age

Ability to work Fridays and Saturdays typically 8pm to 2:30am (start and end time may vary)Utah Alcohol Server Permit (within 14 days of hire)Utah Food Handlers Permit (within 14 days of hire)Nice to have but not required: Attention to detail

Cash handling experience

Ability to have fun while working hard

Team oriented

Customer service experience
