Job Description

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL UMPIRE

CLOSING DATE: April 10, 2026

PAY RATE: Starting at $14.37 to $17.24, depending on experience

SCHEDULE: The season starts April 20th and ends June 13th for Softball and July 15th for Baseball.

DEPARTMENT: Recreation

JOB SUMMARY

Umpire baseball or softball games for the Lehi Recreation Youth Leagues.

  • Games are played Monday through Thursday with rainout makeup games held Fridays and Saturdays, as needed.
  • As an umpire you would be in charge of the play for the field to which you are assigned.
  • You oversee participant safety and fair play.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 16 years of age.
  • Prior experience as an umpire is preferred.
  • You will need to have a flexible work schedule due to games that will start at 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.

Employment in this position is conditional upon passing a pre-employment background and drug test.
