Job Description
QBK Sports is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced coach to help lead our thriving competitive youth beach volleyball program. As a coach, you will play a crucial role in fostering a love for the sport, developing young athletes’ skills, and building a competitive and successful program.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate practice plans for intermediate – advanced skill levels (ages 7+).
- Conduct individual and group skill training sessions, focusing on passing, setting, hitting, serving, and beach-specific techniques.
- Lead multiple teams of dedicated, competitive youth in their development
- Lead scrimmages and competitions, providing constructive feedback and coaching guidance.
- Organize and participate in tournaments, ensuring a positive and supportive team environment.
- Recruit and retain talented athletes, building a strong and diverse program.
- Collaborate with other coaches and program staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Promote the program within the community and develop relationships with local schools and organizations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of player progress and participation.
Qualifications:
- Experience coaching youth beach volleyball.
- Excellent communication with children ages 7+: Ability to create a safe and welcoming environment, use age-appropriate language, explain concepts clearly, actively listen, and provide encouraging feedback.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for beach volleyball and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- must be available early afternoons through the season, and at least 1 tournament weekend/month
