Job Description
MACHINING INTERN
This position will assist the Machine shop personnel with producing parts.
- Support machine shop to help achieve Bedford’s Key Goals
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications
- Operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders to produce parts
- Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job
- Maintains specifications by taking measurements with proper measuring devices
- Troubleshoot equipment
- Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
- Remove and process 3D print parts
- Other duties as assigned
ENGINEERING INTERN
This position will assist the Engineering team with research, planning, development, testing and design of manufacturing equipment.
- Assist the Engineering team as assigned with research, planning, development, testing and design of manufacturing equipment
- Assist the Engineering team with development and testing of new products.
- Learn and become efficient with the company and engineering software (Microsoft Office, Autodesk and Minitab)
- Assist with product quality
- Assist in creation and editing of production procedures and machine manuals
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
MACHINING INTERN
- Pursuing a degree/certification in Machining
- Ability to work both independently and with a team on projects
- Intermediate math skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve and use resources
- Works in an office and production environment
- Must be able to lift at least 40lbs
- Monday-Friday
ENGINEERING INTERN
- Pursuing a degree/certification in an Engineering field
- Ability to communicate professionally
- Bachelor’s degree candidate in Engineering field
- Ability to work both independently and with Engineering team on projects
- Ability to problem solve and use resources
- Works in an office and production environment
- Must be able to lift at least 40lbs
- Monday-Friday
