BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM SITE DIRECTOR
- 90 Hour certification needed for licensing requirements- 45 hours growth and
- development 45 hours school age curriculum
Location : Avalon Elementary School PG County MD 7302 Webster Lane Fort Washington MD
Pay: $21.00
Hours: AM shift 7am-8:30am PM shift 1:15pm-6pm

As an AlphaBEST Site Director, you'll lead a meaningful before and after school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive.
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
- Feels confident taking the lead and running a smooth program
- Takes pride in delivering a high-quality student and family experience
- Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
- Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed
In this role, you will:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
- Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
- Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
- Make child safety the top priority at all times
- Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
- Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
- Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met
- Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
- Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success
Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED,
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
- Must be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agency
- Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations (see below)
Proof of experience through ONE of the following options is required:
- Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA in a related field) or Associate's Degree (AS/AA in a related field)
- A 1-year state or nationally recognized credential (related to school-age care)
- Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college/university AND at least 1 year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
- 2 or more years of qualifying teaching experience (with at least one year as a teacher) in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
- 90 Hour certification needed for licensing requirements- 45 hours growth and
