Job Description

Organization for Research and Learning (ORL) is searching for compassionate and dedicated candidates, interested in acquiring  new skills and knowledge to improve the lives of people with autism. If you value helping others, come learn about the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)  and how it can make a robust difference in people's lives, and with our support and mentorship, earn a license to become a Certified Behavior Technician. Are you an ABA Graduate student looking for a practicum placement? Apply here through out CBT applicant process.

At ORL we value and strive to practice cultural humility. We highly value an inclusive work community that brings diverse ideas and experiences together centered around the shared values of:

  • Excellence: Which, for us, means doing things really well, in the service of doing what's best for people, through ridiculously good, fast, and functional problem solving
  • Connectedness, Relationships, & People: Which, for us, means building personal relationships, developing trust, really knowing the people around us, and doing the working with them to do the work of the organization collaboratively
  • Communication: Which, for us, shows up as being in complete communication and saying what needs to be said in the service of vision and mission, and welcoming that communication.
  • Diversity: Which means that we include and welcome anyone who shares our company values, and we actively seek out those people
  • Making a Difference: Which for us means doing good and relying on science where we can, in that order.

If you believe in doing good by doing things really well in service of doing what's best for people, building relationships with your colleagues and clients based on trust, remaining in complete communication, and actively working to help make ORL a welcoming and supportive place for anyone who shares these values, then we think you'd be a great fit.

We believe in carefully cultivating a culture that values diversity and the unique contributions that everyone brings to the table.

If you're looking to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities, we'd like to get the chance to get to know you better.

We're an equal opportunity employer and we don't discriminate because of age, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, race, color, national origin, disability, or religious or spiritual practice. We strongly encourage members of minority populations to apply

By providing high quality ABA therapy services, our Behavior Technicians help clients learn skills that put them on a path toward living fuller and more engaging lives. Our Behavior Technicians work directly with our clients and receive close and supportive supervision and mentorship from the area's most skilled and most experienced Licensed Behavior Analysts.

We're very proud of that because it tells us that we've built an agency that not only values its clients, but also recognizes that all of our employees play essential roles in ensuring that our clients get the therapy that will allow them to thrive.

We recently asked our Behavior Technicians to write down the three words that came to mind when they thought about ORL.  We're very proud that our Behavior Technicians find ORL to be a supportive, caring, progressing, caring, high quality, and thoughtful place to work.

We're very proud of the culture we've created and we take very seriously the task of continuing to cultivate that culture by attracting, retaining, and partnering with incredibly skilled people all dedicated to achieving common good in sometimes uncommon ways.
