Job Description
Alpha Rae Personnel is seeking a MAT Coordinator/BHP 1 to coordinate medication-assisted treatment (MAT) counseling and guidance for individuals participating in substance use disorder treatment programs.
What You'll Do
- Complete screenings and assessments for current or prospective MAT participants
- Coordinate MAT orientation with Recovery Services staff
- Provide counseling, guidance, referrals, and assistance to participants
- Develop treatment plans and assist with discharge planning
- Utilize a coordinated treatment approach involving medical services, Medicaid enrollment, community linkage, and contracted opioid treatment providers
- Enter relevant information into electronic healthcare records and other required systems
- Monitor attendance, participation, and progress in substance use disorder treatment programs
- Review case files and termination of program participation
- Provide technical assistance for continuing care planning
- Intervene in crisis situations
- Review participant files for MAT program admission consideration
- Maintain accurate data, documentation, and reports
- Monitor, provide support, and track MAT participants at additional institutions as assigned
- Provide technical assistance and training to staff involved in recovery services, as needed
- Participate in program quality assurance activities, including peer, utilization, and clinical record reviews
- Attend seminars and conferences
Requirements & Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following current Ohio licenses:
- Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II)
- Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III)
- Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC)
- Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
- Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC)
- Professional Counselor (PC)
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
- Licensed Physician
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
- Licensed Independent Marriage & Family Therapist
- Licensed Psychologist
- Registered Nurse (RN)
Additional qualifications include:
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Knowledge of counseling, interviewing, social sciences, and medication-assisted treatment
- Strong Microsoft Office and word-processing skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions and take appropriate action
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to prepare meaningful, concise, and accurate reports
- Ability to handle sensitive inquiries and contacts with officials and the general public
- Ability to develop good rapport with individuals receiving services
Schedule Requirements
- Core hours are 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Start time may be as early as 7:00 AM
- No holiday work required
