Job Description
Position Summary
The Behavioral Healthcare Provider 2 independently provides behavioral healthcare services within their credentialed scope of practice. This position manages complex cases, develops and implements treatment plans, provides crisis intervention and behavioral health interventions, and may serve as a lead worker supporting other behavioral healthcare providers.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and behavioral health interventions.
- Coordinate admissions, assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning.
- Provide interventions for acute and complex clients and manage cases involving multiple factors and concerns.
- Provide crisis intervention and respond to complex behavioral health needs.
- Develop, evaluate, and modify treatment techniques based on client progress and treatment needs.
- Participate in behavioral healthcare programs, treatment teams, training sessions, and department meetings.
- Provide guidance and evaluate the performance of lower-level behavioral healthcare providers, as assigned.
- Maintain required documentation and data related to treatment services.
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up services with other facilities, agencies, and support services.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must hold one of the following current Ohio credentials/licenses:
- Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC)
- Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
- Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT)
- Registered Nurse with certificate of authority as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner with specialty certification in Mental Health or Psychiatry
- Must complete continuing professional education required for applicable license renewal.
- Must be able to work within credentialed scope of practice.
- May require flexible or unusual work schedules.
- May involve exposure to challenging client behaviors, contagious diseases, or other behavioral healthcare environments.
- May require travel to community sites.
