Job description- Hourly Position (traditional)
The essential functions of this position are:·
- Must comply with all state and federal mining laws
- Watch out for the safety of self and other co-workers
- Must be self-motivated and goal oriented
- Perform strenuous tasks in a fast paced and changing environment
- Load and unload supplies· Experience with Belt and power moves
- Change rollers during downtime· Install Mechanical splices
- Install and change out belting
- Maintain beltlines
- Set and recover drives· Install and change out pulleys
- Install and maintain scrapers
- Preform transfer maintenance
- Cutting and welding
The marginal activities of this position are:
- Perform any other assigned tasks for which he or she is qualified by virtue of training or experience
Work Schedule:
- 12 hour shift (Monday or Friday)
- 12 hour shift (Saturday & Sunday - at Time and Half rate)
- Steady Day or Midnight shift
License/Certification:
- WV Miner's Card- Black Hat (Required)
- Experience in building belt drives & transfers (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner
- Use various hand tools
- Lift, carry, push, pull – tools, materials and supplies 50 – 100 lbs. regularly.
- Walk, bend, climb, reach, crawl as necessary
- Work Closely with others in a team environment
