Job Summary
This is a full-time temporary role, 40 hours / week.
The MGH Institute of Health Professions seeks a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Temporary Web Content Editor to support updates and refinements across the Institute's website. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with content management systems-particularly Drupal-and a keen eye for accuracy, accessibility, and brand consistency.
This position plays a critical role in improving the user experience, ensuring content is current, well-structured, and aligned with institutional voice and visual standards.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Update and edit existing website pages in Drupal CMS, including text, images, and links in support of a content migration / reorganization project.
- Ensure content adheres to brand, accessibility (WCAG), and SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with web services team to publish approved content.
- Review and correct formatting issues, broken links, and outdated materials.
- Track and document content changes for internal reference.
- Assist with digital asset organization (images, PDFs, video links).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with a CMS, ideally Drupal 9/10.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and style consistency.
- Familiarity with HTML basics, SEO principles, and web accessibility standards.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively.
- Access to a computer and the internet.
Preferred Skills
Experience in higher education or healthcare settings.
Basic image editing (Canva, Photoshop) and document optimization for web.
Understanding of UX/UI and content hierarchy principles.
