Job Description
The Developmental Services Supervisor II is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and oversight to a team of professionals who deliver residential services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role entails the overall management of day-to-day operations for all assigned residential programs. The supervisor II ensures that services are provided in compliance with agency policies and state and federal regulations, and that they adhere to best practices.
Specific Duties:
The Supervisor II will be required to:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of daily operations across all assigned residential programs.
- Ensure the provision of quality care and support tailored to the individual needs of participants.
- Supervise and mentor residential employees, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct regular meetings with supervisory staff to review performance, address concerns, and promote team collaboration.
- Ensure all programs adhere to applicable laws, licensing standards, and organizational policies, including Home and Community Based Service regulations.
- Prepare for and manage audits, inspections, and other regulatory reviews.
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure program effectiveness and efficiency.
- Manage budgets and expenditures to align with organizational goals.
- Act as a liaison between staff and upper management to ensure clear communication and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Stay current on trends, best practices, and innovations in developmental services.
- Ensure that required documentation for Medicaid reimbursement is completed according to procedures, protocols, and policies.
- Serve as the Hiring Manager for their assigned programs.
- Attend and participate in staff training and development to ensure a high standard of care delivery.
- Ensure that annual performance evaluations are completed on time and thoroughly for all assigned employees.
- Cover stand-by duties rotating and be available after hours to offer guidance and supervision.
