Job description

Overview:Abacus Staffing is seeking a motivated and experienced Staffing Specialist to join our team and support high-volume recruitment for light industrial roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, screening, and placing candidates in warehouse, manufacturing, and production settings. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle recruitment for light industrial positions (e.g., assemblers, pickers/packers, forklift drivers, machine operators).
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
Proactively source candidates using job boards, social media, internal databases, and community outreach.
Conduct phone screens, in-person interviews, and onboarding activities for high-volume roles.
Maintain candidate pipelines and ensure timely placement to meet client demands.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Provide bilingual support to candidates and clients (English/Spanish).
Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and prepare regular recruiting reports.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in high-volume light industrial staffing or recruiting.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Proficient with recruiting tools such as ATS, job boards, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of local labor market and workforce trends is a plus.
