Bid Role - Software QA Engineer (Starting In 8-10 Weeks) - Ts/Sci W/ Poly

The Contractor team shall provide systems engineering, custom application development, database administration and operations and maintenance (O&M) for the Sponsor system in support of the full system lifecycle. The Contractor shall provide support for deployment packaging, system maintenance and troubleshooting for software and virtual infrastructure (cloud) components to maintain sustainability and reliability of the Sponsor’s system.

Software Quality Assurance/Application Testing

a.      Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.

b.      Develop and define major and minor characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters and determine requisite quality control resources.

c.      Create and maintain databases of known test defects.

d.      Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.

e.      Design, develop and use automated testing tools.

f.       Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.

g.      Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.

h.      Assist the Sponsor in the evaluation of software and associated documentation.

i.       Participate in formal and informal reviews to determine quality.

j.       Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.

k.      Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.

l.       Install, maintain, and use software-testing programs.

m.    Investigate customer problems.

n.      Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations.

o.      Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.

p.      Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

q.      Provide feedback and recommendations to development team on software usability and functionality.

r.       Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.

s.      Collaborate with field staff or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.

t.       Coordinate user or third-party testing.

u.      Conduct analyses of test results.

Required Skills:

a.      Demonstrated experience translating detailed design into computer software.

b.      Demonstrated experience developing and conducting software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.

c.      Demonstrated experience ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

d.      Demonstrated experience preparing documentation such as program-level, user-level, and security documentation.

e.      Demonstrated experience performing as an Agile Scrum Master.

f.       Demonstrated experience translating database requirements into end-to-end design for databases that may involve multiple interfaces to other database systems.

g.      Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing and maintaining database structures.

h.      Demonstrated experience designing interactive web databases and web services; and user interfaces.

i.       Demonstrated experience developing security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage.

j.       Demonstrated experience developing, testing, and implementing complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.

k.      Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and MS Azure cloud technologies.

l.       Demonstrated experience with Jenkins, Github, Docker, and orchestration tools such as Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform.

m.    Demonstrated experience with Linux administration and scripting languages including Bash and Python.

n.      Demonstrated experience with full ELK stack such as ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Filebeat.

o.      Demonstrated experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS web user interfaces.

p. Demonstrated experience with web UI frameworks, such as React and/or Extended JavaScript (ExtJS).
