We're looking for people with the principles that got us here: self-motivated, passionate, and hardworking.The RoleAs a Bilingual Construction Safety Manager, you'll be dedicated to one active UCS project at a time, owning the jobsite safety program for our self-perform interiors crews from mobilization through closeout. When a project wraps, you'll move to the next one, so this role involves travel to commercial construction sites across the U.S., with company-paid lodging and per diem. You'll train and coach crews in both English and Spanish, work alongside our superintendents and foremen every day, and serve as our main safety contact with the general contractor's safety team.What You'll Be DoingImplement and enforce the UCS safety program and the project's site-specific safety plan on a daily basis
Develop and review JHAs/AHAs and daily pre-task plans with foremen and crews
Lead jobsite safety orientations, weekly toolbox talks, and hands-on training for employees and subcontractors, in English and SpanishConduct daily jobsite inspections and audits, correct hazards on the spot, and track corrective actions to completion
Manage the trade-specific hazards of interiors work, including silica exposure control under OSHA Table 1, fall protection, scaffolds and rolling platforms, aerial lifts, stilts, powder-actuated tools, and material handling and stocking
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and near-miss reporting, and keep OSHA recordkeeping and documentation accurate and current
Coordinate with the GC's safety team, attend project safety meetings, and support GC and OSHA inspections
Serve as competent person for applicable scopes and verify that equipment operators hold current training and certifications
Organize safety workshops and help build a jobsite culture where crews look out for each other
Necessary Qualifications4+ years of construction safety experience, with commercial construction strongly preferredOSHA 30 and OSHA 500 certifications
Bilingual English and Spanish (required), with the ability to train and communicate in both languages on the jobsite
Willingness to travel and relocate temporarily to project sites nationwide
Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction standards, including silica, fall protection, and scaffolding
Experience with interiors, drywall, or framing trades preferredCHST, STS, or first aid/CPR trainer credentials are a plus
Physical RequirementsOn your feet approximately 80% of the time
Must be able to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
