Firm: established personal injury firmLocation: GALLERIAPosition: Bilingual Legal Assistant Salary: $70K with a $7,500 sign on bonus Job#: Selected applicant will work directly with a partner, and must be bilingual in Spanish! They want to hire ASAP! Job description:
- Open and organize new case files, both physical and digital
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other parties regarding case status and documentation
- Request, track, and organize medical records, bills, police reports, and other supporting documents
- Draft and prepare correspondence, demand letters, and legal documents under attorney supervision
- Maintain case calendars, schedule appointments, and track deadlines
- Assist with case settlement preparation and disbursement packages
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate case management system records (e.g., Needles, Filevine, Clio, etc.)
- Provide administrative support such as answering phones, filing, scanning, and mail handling
- Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- At least 3 years of experience in a personal injury or litigation law firm (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of personal injury case processes (pre-litigation and/or litigation)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
- Professional demeanor and a client-centered attitude
