Job Description

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Bilingual (fluent in Spanish) Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Paralegal to join a small, collaborative law firm in the Westfield, NJ area known for its supportive team environment and genuine appreciation for each employee’s contributions. The Pre-Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys in all aspects of personal injury cases from intake through settlement prior to litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work in a close-knit, entrepreneurial law firm environment. Bilingual Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Paralegal Position responsibilities are:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through pre-litigation resolution
  • Monitor medical treatment and respond to requests from insurance carriers
  • Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, medical bills, and related documentation
  • Request and follow up on medical records, billing statements, liens, and wage loss information
  • Prepare and organize demand packages, including medical summaries and damages analysis
  • Draft correspondence to clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, and other parties
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters regarding claims status and settlement negotiations
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files

Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Paralegal position requirements are:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in personal injury pre-litigation
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience obtaining and reviewing medical records a
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with legal case management software
