𦺠Safety Captain
On-Site | Manufacturing / Operations Environment
We are seeking a motivated and safety-driven Safety Captain to support workplace safety initiatives within assigned operational areas. This role is critical in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring OSHA compliance, and supporting team members and leadership through proactive hazard identification, training, and incident response.

ð What You’ll Do
- Provide safety coverage in assigned areas on scheduled days
- Monitor safety and OSHA compliance within assigned work areas
- Assist with incident response and investigations
- Observe and coach team members on safe behaviors and procedures
- Identify, document, and help abate hazards and near-miss conditions
- Engage team members in regular safety discussions and daily safety huddles
- Support supervisors and leads with safety guidance and best practices
- Facilitate and conduct safety training and hands-on qualifications
- Perform and lead weekly safety inspections
- Conduct root-cause analysis for incidents as assigned
- Enter and follow up on safety-related work orders
- Verify pre-operational inspections (including PIT)
- Verify lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and effectiveness of preventative measures
- Escalate high-priority safety concerns to leadership as needed
- Support safety audits, investigations, and team member well-being initiatives
- Cross-train and mentor backup Safety Captains
- Support Superintendent safety plans and operational safety initiatives
- Perform additional safety-related duties or projects as assigned

- Strong commitment to workplace safety and injury prevention
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices preferred
- Ability to observe, coach, and influence safe behaviors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead training sessions and safety meetings
- Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with operations, safety, and leadership teams
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
