ABOUT THE ROLE
The Bill of Materials Costing Associate is a non-degreed position assisting coordination of initiatives supporting plant operations. This role works independently executing process steps, conducting analysis, problem solving and delivering recommendations.
The BOM Costing Associate ensures that Cavco's End of Month reports and records are appropriately maintained in a timely and accurate manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides detailed cost information within an established BOM file format
- Gathers and analyzes data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs and variance.
- Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Maintains Excel files in support of Inventory Control
- Other support duties for General Manager as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have basic homebuilding material knowledge
- Previous purchasing or procurement experience desired
- Capable of analyzing product designs plans in support of BOM and physical inventory accuracy
- Medium level of Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Good Organizational skills
- Ability to deal with all levels of management
- Team player
