Job Description
BASIC PURPOSE:The primary responsibility of the Billing Analyst is to ensure timely and accurate processing of approved timesheets and invoices and research and resolve all provider and client inquiries in a timely and customer-focused manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Issuance of timely and accurate invoicingHandling and resolving both internal and external customer inquiries and issuesPerforming customer account reconciliations, third party system reconciliations, and other needed reconciliationsPrepare and present analytical reports as well as perform as needed data analysis and reportingMaintaining key reporting metrics for the department as well as working with various departments on root cause analysis and resolutionCreation and execution of department audit reports to assist with accuracy of data processing, exception process analysis, and internal/external audit requestsAll other duties as assigned.

Strong technical skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and advanced excelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbalWorks with discretion and confidentialityStrong organization and presentation skills, including balancing multiple responsibilities and effectively meeting deadlinesAbility to work independently with minimal oversight as well as cohesively with a teamactionsStrong business acumen with understanding of organization and various functionsGood understanding of payroll/billing process flow to be able to extract data from reporting modules as well as analyze the informationStrong analytical thinking skills to systematically break down issues and determine root cause
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years working within a Shared Services environment2-5 years billing and/or analyst experience preferred
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. College coursework or education preferred.
