Job Description
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Department Analyst to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently. We welcome candidates with relevant experience and a strong aptitude for financial analysis, even if they do not possess a college degree or certifications traditionally required for similar roles.Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review invoices, verify billing codes, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist in reconciling billing discrepancies and resolving issues with vendors and clients.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to billing and collections.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve billing processes and efficiency.
- Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners regarding billing matters.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related financial roles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in a billing or financial analysis role.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve department goals.
