This role offers hybrid flexibility within the greater Thousand Oaks area.As the Billing Director, you’ll have full oversight of the firm’s billing operations- ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all client billing functions. You’ll also shape billing strategy, develop procedures, and mentor your team to meet the firm’s growth and performance goals.What You’ll DoOversee the full billing lifecycle, ensuring invoices align with client guidelines and firm policies.Lead, mentor, and grow a team of billing professionals.Create and manage billing reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, year-end) and identify discrepancies or opportunities for process improvement.Maintain strong client relationships and ensure billing timelines are consistently met.Partner cross-departmentally to improve systems, streamline billing tools, and maintain detailed SOPs.Recruit, train, and evaluate team members, ensuring professional growth and performance excellence.Collaborate with leadership on client budgets, financial statements, and billing strategy.Why join us?Why You’ll Love It HereCompetitive salary + bonus potential ($135-165k base range)Quick to move! One-and-done interview process with offers extended within 48 hoursJoin a respected, growing firm where your leadership directly impacts firm successWork-life balance with flexible hybrid optionsJob DetailsWhat We’re Looking For:10+ years of complex legal billing experience (law firm required; 30+ attorney firm preferred).5+ years in a billing management or leadership role.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Expertise with legal e-billing platforms such as Bottomline, Ascent, Collaborati, Quovant, CounselLink, and TyMetrix360.Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, complex formulas, data reporting).Strong communication and leadership abilities with a client-service mindset.Experience in attorney/paralegal billing within a law firm environment (not collections).Skilled in managing paperless prebill systems and legal billing compliance tools (preferred).Interested in hearing more?
