Billing Specialist

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Job description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for managing invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliation, and customer billing inquiries in a non-medical environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, deadline-driven, and comfortable working with accounting systems and large volumes of data.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner

• Review contracts and service agreements to ensure correct billing

• Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve customer inquiries

• Post payments and apply credits to customer accounts

• Monitor aging reports and assist with collections follow-up

• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

• Work closely with Accounting, Sales, and Operations to ensure billing accuracy

• Assist with month-end closing processes and reporting

• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or accounting support experience

• Strong knowledge of invoicing and reconciliation processes

• Experience with accounting QuickBooks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Experience:

• Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Required)

• Pivot tables: 1 year (Preferred)

• QuickBooks: 4 years (Required)

• Billing Specialist: 4 years (Required)
