Description:
- The ideal candidate will primarily provide support for our high-throughput entomology testing platform via application of basic biological concepts and procedures
- Responsibilities include the production of various solutions and artificial diets for insect bioassays, care of plants in a growth chamber and/or greenhouse setting, setup and scoring of insect bioassays and data entry. The usage and upkeep of laboratory equipment along with general lab/CE cleaning.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in biology, entomology, plant physiology or related field.
- Key competencies include basic understanding of the principles of plant and animal life, attention to detail, results orientation, customer focus, teamwork, strong written and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving skills.
- The successful applicant should be flexible, self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to work independently or as part of a diverse team.
- Experience in agricultural biotechnology or automation/robotics is a plus.
- Typically works under immediate supervision and reports to a supervisor or manager.
