Job Summary
Summary
Assists technicians in performing operational and safety testing, maintenance and repairs on general patient care equipment.
Conducts inventory of equipment on units and keeps reports on upcoming safety check and repair schedules for technicians
Provides logistical and procurement support to technical operations within the department.

Essential Functions
Maintains equipment records and accurate inventory.
- Coordinates and completes scheduled and unscheduled repair and maintenance of physical plant by company approved vendors.
- Completes documentation of work performed, inventories and histories.
- Updates the inventory and control systems for all equipment supported by the department
- Assists BMET Techs with maintenance and repair of clinical and other electromechanical related equipment.
- Processes requisitions and purchase orders for external service and repair parts for department within appropriate systems.
- Coordinates various operational support logistics including, but not limited to, vendor service and depot repair shipping, medical equipment moves/staging, equipment disposition/storage.
- Responsible for service/support parts inventory management within department, including just in-time ordering and management/optimization of par levels.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Biomedical Technology preferred

Experience
related experience 0-1 year preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate problem solving skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Strong work ethic and focus on quality work.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor equipment and processes.
- Ability to apply knowledge of maintenance and repair of hospital equipment.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
