Overview
Job Description
- Evaluate and treat patients in the Urological outpatient clinic daily, accounting for approximately 90% of your time.
- See patients on consultation and coordinate referrals to additional specialists as necessary.
- Conduct inpatient rounds for urological patients.
- Perform a full range of urological procedures, including cystoscopies, vasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, and transurethral surgeries for prostate disease and bladder cancer.
- Use holmium laser, ESWL, and fluoroscopy as required; robotics certification preferred but not required.
- Perform procedures across a wide range of categories including: Lymphatic, Abdominal, and Kidney Major Procedures; Prostate, Urethra, Ureter, Bladder, Penis, Scrotum, Testes, and Epididymis/Spermatic Cord Procedures; I&D Prostatic Abscess; and Endoscopy Procedures.
- Provide specialty exams related to urological conditions, including compensation and pension exams and Agent Orange evaluations.
- You are a compassionate and highly skilled urologist committed to veteran-centered care.
- You thrive in a structured clinical environment and excel at managing a diverse patient caseload.
- You take pride in delivering high-quality, compliant care and maintaining current certifications and documentation.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology (ABU).
- Successful completion of an approved residency program in Urology, with a minimum of 3 years devoted to Urological surgery.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- National Provider ID (NPI) and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Card.
- Current malpractice and medical liability insurance certificates.
- Annual Office of Inspector General (OIG) Statement.
- Copies of degrees, accreditations, and all applicable licenses.
- All certifications and continuing education required for maintaining licensure and board certification must remain current throughout contract performance.
- Robotics certification.
- North Dakota state medical license.
- Prior experience in a VA or federal healthcare setting.
