Job Description

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Technician to support both retail and wholesale operations. This role involves repairing, restoring, and refinishing vehicles to pre-accident condition while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is experienced in collision repair, works well independently and as part of a team, and can manage a steady workflow from multiple sources.

Key Responsibilities: (MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS)

Perform body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, rust removal and repair
Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and minor refinishing
Collaborate with estimators and parts departments to ensure accurate and timely repairs
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Operate tools and equipment properly and follow all safety guidelines
Communicate progress and any issues with supervisors or team members

Qualifications:

Previous experience as an auto body technician or collision repair specialist
Strong knowledge of body repair techniques, tools, and materials
Ability to work on multiple vehicles and meet deadlines
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Valid driver’s license (required)
I-CAR certification or equivalent training (preferred)

Problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Time management and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills
Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods

Work Environment:

Body shop setting with exposure to noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
