Job Description

HireLevel is hiring a Box Truck Delivery Driver for a  temp to hire assignment in the Evansville, IN area. If you’re looking for short-term work and enjoy being out on the road, this role offers steady hours, local deliveries, and the chance to represent a reputable company committed to safety, quality, and exceptional service.

You’ll be operating a 26-foot box truck, making deliveries to local businesses and schools throughout Evansville and Newburgh. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced day, variety, and customer interaction.

Shift:1st Shift: 7:30am until the job is completed. 
Compensation: $18/hr.

Responsibilities of Box Truck Delivery Driver:

Customer Service Expectations

  • Represent Pro-Tex-All with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Greet customers respectfully and verify delivery accuracy.
  • Handle products carefully to prevent damage.
  • Communicate delays, issues, or customer concerns promptly.
  • Maintain appropriate hygiene and appearance.

Delivery Accuracy & Documentation

  • Review route sheet before departure.
  • Confirm product counts and invoice accuracy at every stop.
  • Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required.
  • Return all paperwork, payments, and materials to the office daily.
  • Immediately report shortages, overages, or customer discrepancies.

Company Policies & Conduct

  • Follow all Pro-Tex-All safety policies, SOPs, and training.
  • Wear required PPE and follow site-specific rules.
  • Protect customer property—avoid hitting trees, wires, docks, or structures.
  • Never allow unauthorized riders or personal use of vehicles.
  • Zero tolerance for reckless driving, substance use, or dishonesty.

 End-of-Day Expectations

  • Perform post-trip inspection and report issues.
  • Park in designated area, remove trash, secure vehicle.
  • Complete paperwork, turn in keys, and communicate any route problems.
  • Prepare notes for the next day if special instructions are needed.
Requirements of Box Truck Delivery Driver:
  • Must have a clean driving record and meet background requirements. 
  • Must be able to lift 50-75lbs at times
  • Must be flexible for end times of shift. 
  • CDL License is preferred.
  • Must have experience driving a large scaled truck.
  • Must pass company testing.
