Job Description

About Us

Goodhouse is a hub for home management services eliminating the headache of sourcing, hiring, and managing contracted work. We are a tech-first company prioritizing customer service and quality performance. Our team is made up of a diverse talent pool of tradesmen (and women), tech gurus, and all-around doers. If you aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and consider yourself a solution-oriented individual, we would love to have you join our team.

The Role

After a successful inaugural year in the Nashville market, we are looking for a strategic and high-energy Branch Manager to take our Middle Tennessee presence at Bax Homeworks to the next level. This is a "Player-Coach" role designed for an industry veteran who can expertly balance the art of the deal with the science of construction management.

You aren't just managing a branch; you are refining our local engine. You will own the sales pipeline while ensuring our remodeling projects are executed with the precision and quality that our brand is known for.

Core Responsibilities

I. Growth & Revenue Generation

  • Strategic Growth: Transition the branch from "new entry" to "market leader" by executing a data-driven sales plan.
  • High-Value Networking: Leverage existing Nashville industry connections to secure high-end residential and commercial remodeling contracts.
  • Pipeline Management: Lead the conversion of inquiries into contracts, overseeing the bidding process to ensure competitive yet profitable pricing.
  • Brand Presence: Represent the company at local trade shows, Chamber events, and networking groups to keep the brand top-of-mind.

II. Operational Excellence

  • Project Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of multiple remodeling projects, ensuring they meet the "Nashville standard" of quality, timeline, and budget.
  • Subcontractor Management: Continue to vet, hire, and manage a reliable local labor force. You must know how to hold crews accountable without micromanaging the craft.
  • Resource Allocation: Optimize the scheduling of equipment, materials, and personnel to eliminate downtime and maximize branch profitability.
  • P&L Accountability: Review monthly financial performance for the Nashville territory, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring healthy margins.

III. Leadership & Strategy

  • Tactical Problem Solving: Be the first point of escalation for complex site issues, providing "in the weeds" technical guidance when—and only when—necessary.
  • Client Satisfaction: Act as the ultimate bridge between the client's vision and the final build, ensuring a seamless communication loop.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all projects remain strictly compliant with Tennessee building codes and OSHA safety standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Regional Expertise: Minimum 7+ years in construction management with a deep, existing network in the Middle Tennessee/Nashville market. You must know the local subcontractor landscape and regional building codes by heart.
  • Dual-Threat Leadership: Proven success managing both Sales (Revenue Growth) and Operations (Project Execution). You have a track record of hunting new business while simultaneously overseeing high-quality remodeling projects.
  • Strategic "Player-Coach" Mindset: An entrepreneurial approach to scaling a year-old territory. You are willing to "get in the weeds" to solve a technical crisis but possess the leadership maturity to empower crews without micromanaging.
  • Financial & Analytical Acumen: High proficiency in P&L management, job costing, and budget forecasting. You treat the branch’s profitability with the same rigor as an owner.
  • Superior Communication: Exceptional ability to negotiate with tough subcontractors, present sophisticated proposals to high-end clients, and report clearly to executive leadership.
  • Tech Literacy: Advanced experience using construction management platforms (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore) and CRMs to track both project milestones and the sales pipeline.

Base Comp: - $70k Base compensation (negotiable)- Commission based on #Crews running

Benefits Offered

  • Health Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Savings: Offers a Health Savings Account (HSA)
