Job Description
- Serve as acting Branch Manager at assigned locations as needed to ensure continuity of leadership and operations.
- Oversee daily branch operations including cylinder inventory, distribution, warehouse activities, driver coordination, and customer service.
- Maintain and enforce company safety standards, regulatory compliance, and operational procedures.
- Provide leadership and direction to branch employees including drivers, counter sales staff, warehouse personnel, and technicians.
- Support branch teams in maintaining productivity, efficiency, and strong customer relationships.
- Monitor branch performance metrics including sales, margins, inventory control, and operational costs.
- Partner with regional leadership to identify operational improvements and address performance gaps.
- Assist with onboarding, coaching, and training employees during branch assignments.
- Ensure proper cylinder handling, storage, and transportation procedures are followed.
- Support implementation of company initiatives, policies, and operational best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in business, management, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial gas, welding supply distribution, logistics, or operations management preferred.
- Prior leadership or branch management experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and operational best practices in a warehouse/distribution environment.
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to different teams, operational environments, and branch needs.
- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and reporting tools.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
- Ability to work in an industrial and warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout warehouse and yard areas.
