Bridge Design Engineer

Position – Bridge Design Engineer Location – Freehold, NJ Our client is an industry leading Civil Engineering Firm with multiple office locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania who has an immediate opening for a Bridge Design Engineer in the Freehold, NJ office. This is a full-time, immediate opportunity. To be considered, a candidate should have the following: Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania Professional Engineer License (or potential to obtain within 1-3 years) 1 to 5 years bridge design experience NJDOT, NJTA and/or PennDOT design experience preferred Knowledge of current AASHTO LRFD design specifications AutoCAD and MicroStation experience Experience with structural design software such as STAAD Pro, Mathcad, PennDOT design programs, or equivalent design programs A valid driver's license Excellent written and verbal communication skills Capable of effectively working on multiple projects High degree of self-motivation and team-oriented approach Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform structural engineering design and analysis tasks Develop specifications, estimates, and bid package submission documents Oversee, manage, and/or provide guidance to junior level bridge engineers Coordinate with multi-disciplined design teams, including subconsultants Conduct site visits during construction phase for client support Assist with bridge and field inspections Assist with proposal preparation Benefits: Medical/Rx Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) savings plan with company match Paid holidays, vacation and sick days Company-paid Life insurance Company-paid Long-Term Disability insurance Voluntary Long-Term Care insurance Tuition reimbursement program (postgraduate) Gym membership reimbursement Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Compensation is commensurate with experience.
