Position Overview

The Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader is responsible for performing NBIS-compliant bridge inspections across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York. This role includes assisting inspection teams and preparing inspection reports to ensure compliance with FHWA standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist bridge inspection teams on DOT projects.
Perform NBIS-compliant bridge inspections.
Prepare bridge inspection reports.
Analyze structural conditions and inspection findings.
Coordinate with project managers and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
E.I.T. required
2 years of bridge inspection experience
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

PE license
FHWA NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges certification

Technical Skills

Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
Bridge inspection reporting and documentation systems
