Custodian – Full TimeRiver City One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating – Baton Rouge, LA

River City One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating, Baton Rouge’s oldest and most trusted HVAC company since 1980, is moving into a brand-new 10,000 sq. ft. facility and looking for a dedicated Full-time Custodian to join our team.

This role is vital in keeping our new building clean, safe, and welcoming for both employees and customers. We offer a positive work environment, full benefits, and opportunities to grow with a locally owned and operated company.

Responsibilities

General cleaning and upkeep of offices, hallways, and common areas
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
Emptying trash and recycling bins
Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, showers, and locker areas
Cleaning kitchen and breakroom areas, including appliances and counters
Window washing and glass cleaning (interior & exterior as needed)
Power washing the building exterior and walkways
Dusting surfaces, blinds, and vents
Maintaining and sanitizing the gym room and fitness equipment
Monitoring and restocking, cleaning, and bathroom supplies
Light maintenance tasks as needed
Supporting clerical/front desk duties when workload is light (answering phones, greeting visitors, filing, etc.)

Qualifications

Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and carrying supplies
Comfortable working independently and managing tasks efficiently
Positive, team-oriented attitude

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
