BUILDING INSPECTOR

Hiring Pay Range: $26.83 to $33.54 per hour FLSA Status: Non- exempt Pay Grade: 110 Full Pay Range: $26.83 to $40.25 per hour Deadline to Apply: 06/14/2026 Benefits Summary Major Benefits for Full-Time Regular Employees:
Position Summary: Inspects permitted construction, both commercial and residential properties; ensures construction, whether new or remodeled, is built per code and municipal policy; and tracks and updates plans based on field observations. Performs plan reviews as assigned. Essential Duties:
Qualifications: Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; six (6) years of journey level work experience in one or more construction trades; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Licensing, Certification, and Other Requirements: Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and pass a pre-employment drug test. Building Inspector certification from International Code Council preferred. Must possess a Building Inspector certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
