Job Description

Nesco Resource is looking for a Building Maintenance Technician located in Danbury, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate. Shift: Full time Pay: Starting from $20/hour based on experience Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, maintenance, and general operation of an industrial facility. This individual will play an important role in ensuring the building, work areas, and facility systems remain safe, clean, and in good working condition. Responsibilities:

  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Conduct basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC-related maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair general building systems and facility equipment
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility
  • Assist with general repairs, improvements, and facility-related projects
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for larger repair or maintenance projects
  • Support facility safety initiatives and address potential building hazards
  • Handle general custodial responsibilities, including trash removal, floor care, restroom upkeep, and spill response
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies
  • Assist with equipment and facility service needs as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of building, facilities, or maintenance experience, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems
  • Experience performing general building repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve a variety of facility-related issues
  • Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety
  • Reliable, flexible, and willing to support a variety of maintenance needs
  • Technical or trade school training is a plus
  • Basic computer skills preferred
