Job Description
The student intern will be using CAD software and other programs to model and document existing Fire Protection Systems, electrical systems, control systems, and all integrated utility systems across laboratory facilities and structures.
Working closely with Argonne engineers, maintenance staff, building Managers and Fire Protection staff to accurately capture and track actual and potential Engineering/Construction/Architecture/safety specifications and upgrade engineering plans and drawings using CAD Software programs as well as AI and other design and planning software/systems, as needed.
In addition, student intern will work with Building Management staff to improve data in our Building Management database. This work will involve performing physical inspections in buildings across the Argonne campus, and then identifying and documenting deficiencies.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Applicants must be:
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate studies at an accredited institution;or
- Graduated from an accredited undergraduate institution within the past 3 months.
- Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
- Must possess a cumulativeGPAof 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident at the time of application.
- If you accept an offer, you must pass a screening drug test.
- The entire appointment must be conducted within the United States.
