Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and safety-driven CDL Class A Driver to transport bulk cement and possible heavy haul operations. This role involves operating pneumatic tankers and/or specialized trailers to deliver materials safely and efficiently to construction and industrial job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate bulk cement tankers
- Load, unload, and deliver cement using pneumatic systems
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections of vehicle and equipment
- Maintain accurate logs, permits, and required DOT documentation
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch regarding routes, delivery schedules, and permits
- Provide professional service at customer and job sites
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license required
- Tanker endorsement required
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience in cement bulk delivery
- Experience with pneumatic trailers
- Clean driving record and strong commitment to safety
- Must pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with lowboy, multi-axle, or specialized heavy haul trailers
- Secure and transport oversized or overweight loads in compliance with regulations
- Knowledge of weight distribution, load securement, and route planning
- Hazmat endorsement (or ability to obtain)
- Familiarity with construction site operations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and handle hoses/equipment
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
