Job Summary:This position requires a CDL with S & P endorsements. This person will be responsible for transporting students from the Viera campus to and from CCA, mission trip drop offs, and other church sponsored activities as needed for backup. Position will include duties for Maintenance and Custodial support to complete full-time hours. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Bus Driver Follow safe driving practices, enforcing safety rules in place for passengers of vehicle (1 Corinthians 14:40) Check bus for safety before driving and know emergency protocol Greet students as they enter (1 Peter 5:2) Maintain excellent driving record Available hours during weekends and evenings Other duties as assigned by supervisor (Colossians 3:23) Maintenance Assure the optimal functioning of building systems including electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, elevators, etc. (1 Corinthians 14:33) Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to perform building repairs such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, air conditioners (Mark 10:45) Participate in the set-up/teardown of rooms and equipment relating to church and individual ministry events (1 Thessalonians 5:11) Maintain the lawn irrigation system Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (emergency generator, golf carts, forklift, light cart, high lift, gator tractor, etc.) (Proverbs 11:14) Complete work requests and documenting maintenance records (1 Corinthians 14:40) Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and read wiring schematics Operate machinery after a period of training Other duties as assigned by supervisor (Colossians 3:23) Custodial Ensure a safe, clean, and proper order of the facilities by keeping campus clean and in good sanitary condition Safely use and climb ladders Respond to custodial emergency situations as effectively and as promptly as the situation requires Take proper care of and do routine maintenance on custodial equipment Notify Maintenance Dept of need for repairs in writing Other duties as assigned by supervisor (Colossians 3:23)Job Skills and Competencies: CDL with S & P endorsements Must pass physical exam paid for by Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Melbourne Ability to remain calm in all situations (Ephesians 4:3) Work respectfully with everyone and handle conflict according to Matthew 18 Keep all information (student, parent, staff) confidential (Proverbs 21:23) Must be able to lift heavy objects correctly Ability to adapt to change Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision Ability to solve problemsOther Qualifications: Calvary Chapel as your home church with regular attendance is preferred Keep the ministry in the forefront of all you do, with a servant heart and optimistic attitude(Philippians 2:3) Conduct yourself in a manner that reinforces the core values and mission of Calvary Chapel and agree to our Statement of Faith Function as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetings in coordination with direct supervisor Demonstrate a mature, ongoing personal relationship with Jesus through spiritual and moral integrity Strong commitment to the vision and mission of Calvary Chapel Melbourne (John 13:34-35) Fruit of the Spirit is consistently displayed in your life, as a reflection of God’s love to colleagues and visitors (Galatians 5:22-23)
