Job description:

  • To operate a school bus to transport students/staff/parents to specific locations according to a specific time schedule, AM and PM.
  • Bus driving as assigned, in accordance with all safety regulations and traffic laws set forth by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Shady Side Academy.
  • Maintain a daily driver's log. Refuels the bus after completing runs and reports any mechanical problems to the Garage Mechanic.
  • Clean the interior of the buses/ vans daily and wash the exterior weekly.
  • Maintain and check fluid levels as required to keep the bus in a safe and proper operating condition.
  • During downtime, assist Grounds
