The Wealth Management Platforms organization manages digital platforms and experiences across the Advisor, Workplace and Direct channels, ensuring that our capabilities lead the industry and are delivered and integrated seamlessly.

Position Summary

The Platform team works closely with Wealth Management product areas to define and drive the Advisor and Client experience.We arein search of a talented andenthusiastic Business Analystto join our team. 

Asa Business Analyst on theAdvisory Platforms team, you willbe responsible for supporting the team that deliversthe next-generation Wealth Management platform for Morgan Stanley Advisors focusing oninvestment advisoryaccount onboarding and maintenance, fees and billing, investment data and asset manager experience. This role will primarily supportstrategicenhancements toadvisory account onboardingand fee billing, with opportunities to support other keyplatformdeliverables.  

As a smart, detail-oriented team player whothrives oninteracting with individuals across diverse functional areas, you will work to solve tough problems and deliver results on varied projects that help drive efficiency, reduce risk, and generate revenue. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with platform lead and product ownerstosupportagiletechnology delivery for key initiatives.

  • Leverageavailableinternal AI toolsto:

  • Analyzecurrentstatesystem capabilities,dependenciesanddesign

  • Definetargetstate user journeys, use cases, workflows, and business processes that align with the product goals and address critical user and control needs

  • Analyze, define, and manage data flows and diverse datasets 

  • Identify, create, andvalidateepics and user stories for agile sprints

  • Specify acceptance criteria,generate andreview testing cases/scenarios and perform user acceptance testing as needed

  • Prepare presentationsand status updates

  • Collectand track KPIs andfeatureadoption and usage metricsas applicable

  • Createconceptual mock-ups to communicate proposed changes and ideas

  • Assistplatform leadwith backlog refinement andprioritization of features

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders todemonstratedeveloped capabilities, elicit requirements, and gatherand track userfeedback 

  • Collaboratewith program management officeand technology delivery managementteamsto effectively organize and plan product releases

Qualificationsand Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’sdegree

  • Proficientatdefining, analyzing, documenting, and communicating product and application requirements in a waterfall,agile and/or hybrid software development setting.

  • Experienceininvestment advisory platforms orwealth managementis preferred.

  • Experience in data analysis.

  • Strong organizational skillsand attention to details

  • Polished written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-starter efficient at managing multiple tasks concurrently under deadline constraints

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $140,000 per year at
the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
