Job Responsibilities and Requirements
The Business Analyst is responsible for optimizing service performance across existing systems and new development initiatives within the Retirement Services function. This role partners closely with Product Owners and agile teams to define requirements, document user stories, and ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions aligned to strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document user stories and acceptance criteria aligned to business needs
- Support Product Owners by ensuring accurate, actionable data is available for prioritization decisions
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams
- Maintain integrity and traceability of requirements across the product backlog hierarchy
- Identify gaps, risks, or inconsistencies in requirements and proactively resolve
- Ensure functional and non-functional requirements are clearly documented and represented
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and coordinate execution, including test data definition
- Support testing efforts through defect tracking, documentation, and issue resolution
- Create and maintain business and system documentation for end users
- Assist with production support, including triage and root cause analysis
- Evaluate third-party capabilities and recommend solutions aligned to business needs
- Identify opportunities to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance or financial services experience (Retirement Services a plus)
- Experience working with clients and producers
- Demonstrated planning and project management skills
- Additional experience with data analysis tools
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and contribute innovative ideas
The expected hiring range for this position is $66,660.00 - $96,100.00 annually. This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate's starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
