Business Analysts are integral members of our delivery teams, supporting client engagements that require strong analytical thinking, structured requirements definition, and disciplined execution.
This role is designed for a traditional Business Analyst who brings strong consulting soft skills, including stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and professional documentation. Business Analysts may be assigned to projects across industries and subject areas, including programs that require familiarity with emissions-related concepts and reporting requirements, depending on client needs.
Business Analysts act as trusted advisors to clients and internal delivery teams, providing clarity, structure, and continuity throughout the project lifecycle. The scope, complexity, and leadership expectations of this role scale based on experience, supporting both Business Analyst and Senior Business Analyst levels.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Requirements Elicitation: Lead structured interviews, workshops, and working sessions to gather, analyze, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Requirements Documentation: Develop clear, comprehensive, and well-organized requirements artifacts that support delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Stakeholder Facilitation: Serve as a primary liaison between client stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure shared understanding, alignment, and accountability.
- Consulting Engagement Support: Support client engagements by helping frame problems, clarify scope, document assumptions, and support decision-making.
- Solicitation & Proposal Support: Contribute to proposal and solicitation efforts by documenting requirements, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and scope considerations.
- Requirements Management: Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including refinement, traceability, version control, and controlled change.
- Clarification & Validation: Clarify intent, resolve ambiguity, and ensure requirements are actionable, testable, and aligned to business objectives.
- Meeting Facilitation: Plan and facilitate working sessions, requirements walkthroughs, and executive review meetings.
- Documentation & Deliverables: Produce polished, executive-ready documentation and presentations aligned to consulting delivery standards.
- Delivery Support: Support validation and acceptance activities by confirming alignment between requirements and delivered outcomes.
- Communication: Provide concise, professional updates, summaries, and key messages to project leadership and client stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Preferred fields include Business, Information Systems, Communications, Management, or related disciplines
Required Skills
- Experience as a Business Analyst supporting consulting or client-facing initiatives
- Strong ability to elicit, analyze, document, and manage business requirements
- Demonstrated stakeholder facilitation, communication, and relationship management skills
- Experience producing executive-ready documentation and presentations
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and follow-through skills
- Ability to operate effectively in structured consulting delivery environments
- Proficiency with core tools including PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Jira, Confluence, and Visio
Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred, Not Required)
- Prior experience in management consulting or professional services
- Experience supporting utilities, energy, or infrastructure-related initiatives
- Familiarity with emissions-related concepts, metrics, or reporting practices
- Experience working on large-scale, multi-year programs
- Experience operating across multi-vendor or multi-team delivery models
