JOB SUMMARY

The Business Analyst acts as a strategic liaison between business objectives and technology solutions in the banking and financial services sector. They focus on advancing digital asset and enterprise payment initiatives, with a particular emphasis on tokenized payments defined as stablecoins and tokenized deposits. The Business Analyst collaborates with agile product teams to review and refine business requirements, prioritize the delivery of features related to stablecoin and tokenized deposit payments, and ensure alignment with product vision, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Engages with business units to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for a wide range of digital asset and payment solutions, with a particular emphasis on enterprise payments, blockchain payments, and emerging banking products.

  • Reviews and clarifies business requirements and feature requests, translating payment and digital asset needs into actionable user stories and functional specifications for development teams.

  • Prioritizes and manages product backlogs, facilitate feature planning and sprint readiness in close coordination with stakeholders, lines of business, and technical teams, ensuring a strong payments and digital asset focus.

  • Maintains a high-level understanding of technical product capabilities relevant to payments, blockchain, and digital assets, enabling effective translation of business needs to technical requirements. Analytics and AI toolsets are leveraged as needed to support requirements gathering and documentation.

  • Refines requirements through iterative feedback, ensuring clarity and feasibility for technical teams while maintaining alignment with the payment product roadmap and organizational goals.

  • Leads and facilitates agile ceremonies, such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives, applying agile best practices to optimize team performance and delivery outcomes for payment and digital asset solutions.

  • Supports user acceptance testing, training, and change management to facilitate seamless adoption of new payment and digital asset solutions.

  • Monitors project progress, track key metrics, and communicate updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability for payment initiatives.

  • Remains current with industry trends, banking regulations, and digital asset innovations to include developments in enterprise and blockchain payments, to inform product strategy and compliance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field required.

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, product management, or financial services roles within banking or fintech environments, with a strong emphasis on payments and digital assets.

  • Demonstrated expertise in agile product development, requirements management, and stakeholder collaboration, particularly for payment and digital asset solutions.

  • Familiarity with enterprise payment systems, blockchain payment technologies, tokenized deposits, and digital asset products relevant to banking and financial services.

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.

  • Experience with agile project delivery tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps) and productivity solutions; knowledge of analytics and AI is advantageous but not essential.

  • Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to adapt to constant change and periods of fast-paced situations while sticking to and meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while performing assigned duties.

  • Ability to always maintain a high degree of ethical standards and complete confidentiality.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Background in enterprise payments, blockchain payment technologies, tokenized deposits, stablecoins, and regulated financial environments.

  • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP), agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master), project management (e.g., PMP), product ownership (e.g., Certified Product Owner), or related disciplines.

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, overseeing cross-functional teams and driving product strategy within financial services or fintech environments.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, drive consensus, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration in a regulated banking environment.

  • Understanding of data privacy, compliance, and risk management in the context of payments and digital assets.
