Job Description

This is a Lead Business Analysis position at the Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying needs, and establishing requirements to enhance efficiency and productivity through a blend of business acumen and analytical skills.

The ISG Trade Surveillance group is responsible for the prevention and investigation of abusive, manipulative or illegal trading practices in the securities markets that are either customer or firm initiated. This group identifies patterns of trading behavior across multiple asset classes that may be an indication of market manipulation before these can compromise the firm’s reputation.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Product Owners to implement DQ controls – covering implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the DQ rules. 

  • Creating DQ score card that goes with the datasets.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the data definitions, domain values, data relationships, business rules, sources, and data integration used in the business domain

  • Troubleshoot data issues and work with data providers for resolution

  • Work with Data Engineers who will implement technical solutions to meet business requirements and handle DQ issues

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience

  • Excellent understanding of Data governance and data quality controls

  • Experience with implementation and monitoring of DQ controls

  • Experience with reporting and troubleshooting of DQ alerts

  • Experience with DQ platforms like Collibra etc.

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling

  • Strong SQL query skills

  • Experience with SDLC

  • Strong communication, independent thinking

  • Strong stakeholder presentation skills

  • Organization and planning skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

  • Experience with Agile project delivery.

  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, Scala, Python).

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
