Job Description
Business Analyst – Government & Regulatory Programs Location: Stamford, CT (Hybrid) Duration: Long Term Position Overview:
- We are seeking a Business Analyst – Government & Regulatory Programs to translate government and regulatory requirements into practical, customer-facing and agent-facing business solutions.
- The ideal candidate will have strong telecommunications or cable industry experience and understand how regulatory requirements impact customers, customer service agents, business operations, and technology systems.
- This role requires someone who can think outside the box, simplify complex regulations, and translate them into clear business requirements, customer journeys, agent workflows, and technology solutions.
- Analyze new federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and assess business impacts.
- Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into clear business and functional requirements.
- Partner with Legal, Regulatory, Product, Operations, UX, and Technology teams.
- Gather, document, and validate requirements for customer-facing and agent-facing systems.
- Facilitate requirements workshops with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business process documentation.
- Define customer journeys and agent workflows that support compliant and intuitive experiences.
- Collaborate with UX teams to review wireframes, prototypes, and customer experience designs.
- Work closely with Product Owners and Technology teams throughout Agile/Scrum development cycles.
- Support solution design and implementation discussions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and reduce operational complexity while maintaining compliance.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate that implemented solutions meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout project delivery.
- Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude to support requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and business analysis activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of Business Analysis experience.
- Telecommunications or cable industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience facilitating meetings and requirements workshops with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong ability to translate complex business or regulatory requirements into actionable solutions.
- Experience supporting regulatory or compliance initiatives.
- Experience with FCC regulations or other federal/state regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of Customer Experience (CX) principles.
- Experience designing agent workflows, customer journeys, and operational processes.
- Experience working with Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Product, Operations, UX, and Technology teams.
- Familiarity with privacy requirements and accessibility standards.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience supporting UAT.
- CBAP, CCBA, or Agile certifications preferred.
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft Copilot and Claude/Generative AI for requirements gathering and business analysis.
