Job Summary
About the RoleThe Mass General Physicians Organization Business Intelligence Team is seeking a collaborative Business Analyst to help teams access, understand, and use data to support operational decision-making. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders, translate business needs into clear reporting requirements, support reporting tools and workflows, and help ensure data and reports are accurate, reliable, and easy to use.What You’ll DoQualifications
What You’ll Bring
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to gather requirements, explain findings, and deliver presentations.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable reporting or analytics specifications.
- Ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, vendors, operations partners, and leadership.
- Experience creating and executing test cases to support accurate, high-quality reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A proactive, process-driven approach with a strong focus on understanding and exceeding customer needs.
- Ability to build productive relationships with peers, supervisors, customers, and management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two to four years of experience in a business intelligence, data warehouse, data mart, OLAP, or operational reporting environment.
- Knowledge of relational and dimensional data models.
- Knowledge of structured query language (SQL).
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts and continuous improvement principles.
- Understanding of basic financial and business principles in a healthcare setting.
- Experience working with Epic, IPORT, Revenue Cycle data, or healthcare reporting tools.

- You enjoy documenting processes, sharing knowledge, and supporting end users as they adopt tools and reports.

Hybrid with onsite work required in office, candidate must be flexible for weekly or monthly business needs
M-F Eastern business hours required
On remote workdays, employees must use a stable, secure, and compliant workstation in a quiet environment. Teams video is required and must be accessed using MGB-provided equipment
