Close collaboration with sales, AI Center of Excellence, operations, risk, product, and technology teams is essential to ensure measurable outcomes and drive the organization's AI strategy forward.

This role will also drive broader process improvement efforts across Business Banking. This role is responsible for proactively identifying inefficiencies, standardizing workflows, and leading end-to-end optimization initiatives that enhance scalability, reduce risk, and improve client and employee outcomes-regardless of whether AI is the primary lever. The leader will partner cross-functionally to prioritize high-impact opportunities and deliver sustainable, measurable improvements through operational excellence, data-driven insights, and strong change leadership.

The leader is responsible for shaping and executing Business Banking's enablement strategy in support of Relationship Manager (RM) productivity, client coverage effectiveness, and Portfolio Management (PM) excellence. This role owns the end-to-end vision, prioritization, and delivery of AI, and analytics platforms that modernize how Business Banking originates business, and serves clients.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve sales performance, operational efficiency, client engagement, and banker effectiveness within business banking.
  • Partner with business line leadership to develop and maintain an AI initiative roadmap aligned with strategic priorities and measurable business outcomes.
  • Evaluate and prioritize AI use cases based on business value, feasibility, risk, adoption readiness, and operational impact.
  • Translate business challenges into callable solutions and actionable implementation plans
  • Analyze existing sales and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
  • Apply process improvement methodologies to redesign workflows and improve outcomes.
  • Drive user adoption and behavioral changes across the business banking sales organization.
  • Develop communication and engagement strategies to increase awareness and utilization of AI tools. Partner with frontline leaders to gather feedback, address barriers, and improve user experience.
  • Track adoption metrics and business outcomes, providing regular updates to leadership.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, status updates, and business case recommendations.
  • Communicate project risks, dependencies, and performance metrics to senior leadership. Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on AI capabilities, business trends, and implementation opportunities.
  • Analyze business challenges and proactively identify opportunities to leverage AI & ML for improved sales processes, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • It is the individual responsibility of every employee to maintain a current awareness and understanding of and to fully comply with U.S. Bancorp's "Code of Ethics". Each employee is expected to maintain an awareness of the laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures that are appropriate for his/her position.
